Dr Jo Cobbett

Veterinary Surgeon & Practice Owner

Raised on her family’s farm in Kersey, Jo’s passion for animals runs in her blood. She studied at the University of Cambridge and spent a year practicing in Cambridgeshire before returning to her roots in Suffolk, where she has practiced for the last fourteen years. As an Advanced Practitioner in Ophthalmology, Jo not only addresses eye conditions but also thrives in performing all aspects of surgery. Her interest in animal behaviour drives her to ensure that even the most anxious pets feel at ease in her care. Outside the clinic, Jo cherishes family moments, explores the countryside with her dogs, and stays active through running and swimming. She also delights in her creative crafting pursuits.

Dr Jess Hudson

Veterinary Surgeon & Practice Owner

Jess, originally from Suffolk, found her way back to East Anglia after completing her studies at the University of Nottingham. With a strong passion for Emergency and Critical Care, she excels in diagnosing and treating our most unwell pets. Jess holds a postgraduate certificate in this field. As a skilled surgeon, Jess combines technical expertise with a compassionate approach. She actively listens to her patients and their families, ensuring they feel heard and understood. Jess also enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with students, making her an invaluable mentor. Outside of work, you’ll often find Jess exploring the great outdoors with her family and dogs, attempting to tame her cheeky hand reared cat or tending to her garden.

Dr George Francis

Veterinary Surgeon

George began his journey into a career with animals by undertaking a degree in Zoology, then working in wildlife parks in South Africa. He later pursued his veterinary degree at the esteemed University of Cambridge and undertook further additional postgraduate training at a prestigious local referral centre. With a keen interest and skill in medicine and surgery (in which he holds a postgraduate certificate) and dermatology, George particularly enjoys using his expertise in clinical pathology to enhance his diagnostic and decision-making processes. George is a passionate golfer and an enthusiastic cook who loves to explore good food and wine. He lives in Suffolk with his partner and beautiful Pomeranian, Miette.

Dr Noor Alkhalifa

Dr. Med. Vet. MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Noor grew up in Dubai and studied at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest. She is now happily settled in Suffolk, where she has been working for the past three years, and has fallen in love with the calm countryside and the beautiful Norfolk and Suffolk coastline. She has a keen interest in medicine and diagnostics, and is currently studying towards a postgraduate certificate in Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging. Noor especially enjoys the problem‑solving side of veterinary work and the chance to piece together each patient’s story to help them on their road to recovery. Outside the clinic, Noor will usually be found cooking, exploring new places, or curled up on the sofa with her magnificent ginger cat, Steve. Noor loves meeting people, hearing their stories, and bringing a smile to those around her, something which shines through in every consultation.

Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse

Leanne is a dedicated and compassionate veterinary nurse who qualified in 2010. Since then, she has been providing exceptional care to animals in Suffolk. With a special focus on inpatient care and nurse appointments, Leanne excels in ensuring her patients receive the best possible treatment. She particularly enjoys running nurse clinics and handling emergency and critical care situations. Leanne has a passion for caring for geriatric patients, ensuring they receive the comfort and attention they deserve in their golden years. Outside of work, Leanne loves walking her puppy Flynn in the countryside and spending time with friends. Her commitment to the well-being of animals and her friendly demeanour make her an invaluable member of our team.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Laura graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2021 with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing, where she distinguished herself by placing third overall in her year. Her academic excellence is matched by her extensive hands-on experience, which she gained during her training through placements at two renowned large referral hospitals, the Animal Health Trust and the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals. These rotations allowed Laura to expand her knowledge across various departments, further solidifying her skills and expertise in veterinary care. Laura has a particular passion for emergency and critical care, and anaesthesia. She is now studying for an advanced certificate in this challenging yet rewarding field of Anaesthesia and Analgesia. While she enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, Laura finds inpatient care especially fulfilling. She takes great pride in forming bonds with her patients, believing that patient-specific care is crucial to their recovery. The opportunity to nurse animals back to full health is one of the most rewarding parts of her job. Outside of the practice, Laura is an avid traveller and enjoys exploring the outdoors through long walks and running. Her dedication to her patients and her passion for continuous learning make her a valued member of our veterinary team.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Rebecca qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2018, when she graduated from the Royal Veterinary College. She has worked in Suffolk since, having grown up just outside of Bury St Edmunds. Anyone who has met her knows how dedicated she is to the feline species! As the resident ‘crazy cat lady,’ your cats are certainly in good hands with her. She enjoys all aspects of nursing, and building relationships with the clients and patients. She is currently working towards an advanced qualification - the highly esteemed Diploma in Feline Nursing. She has already gained three certificates in exotic species (Small Mammals and Wildlife) and Feline Nursing. Outside of work you’ll find her exploring the countryside with her husband, or cuddled up on the sofa with her pampered puss Olive.

Saskia graduated from the prestigious Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in 2022 with a Foundation Degree in Veterinary Nursing. As a passionate all-rounder, she thrives on the variety of her role. Saskia enjoys every single aspect of nursing, from the fast-paced environment of the surgical theatre to meeting clients and their pets during nursing consultations. Born and raised in Essex, Saskia is now happily settling into the Suffolk countryside with her partner and their gorgeous Golden Retriever, Crumble. In her spare time, she loves exploring her new local area, touring regional artisan bakeries, and relaxing in cosy country pubs after a long dog walk.

We welcome another Jess to the team as our new Animal Nursing Assistant. With years of experience supporting nursing teams in a specialist veterinary hospital, she brings a knowledge, kindness and calm to our patients and their owners. From client communications to clinical support, Jess is front and centre caring for owners and their pets every day.

Rosie Eboma-Stamp

Practice Manager

Rosie, originally from Suffolk, brings a wealth of experience and a warm, welcoming presence to our veterinary practice. She relocated to Cheshire to pursue her passion for animal care, earning a BTEC level 3 certificate in Animal Management and a National Diploma in Animal Care. Since returning to Suffolk in 2007, Rosie has been an integral part of the veterinary industry. Rosie’s key focus is client care, ensuring that both pets and their owner have the best possible experience possible when attending the practice. Her dedication to providing exceptional service makes her a vital member of our team. Outside of work Rosie enjoys travelling, live music, good food and spending time with the family and friends. She also loves hiking in the Lake District, embracing the beauty of nature.

Lynda Andrews

Client Care Coordinator

Lynda joined The Hadleigh Vets team as one of our client care coordinators, bringing with her a wealth of experience in delivering exceptional service to clients. With a friendly and approachable demeanour, Lynda is dedicated to ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and well cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. Outside of work, Lynda enjoys unwinding with a good glass of wine, spending time in her garden, and planning her next travel adventure. She enjoys meeting all of our wonderful clients and their pets, and helps to make your experience at The Hadleigh Vets as smooth and pleasant as possible.

Fredrika Anderson

Client Care Coordinator

Fredrika was born and raised in Suffolk. She completed her BSc(Hons) in Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation at Writtle University College in May 2023, and is currently furthering her knowledge by pursuing a Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy and a Diploma in Equine and Canine Osteopathy. Her academic journey being far from over, she aspires to return to education in the future to study Veterinary Medicine! Working in veterinary practice allows her to meet wonderful people and their beloved pets; she takes pride in ensuring that every visit to the vet is as pleasant and stress-free as possible for both pets and their owners. When Freddie is not at work, you will find her hiking through Suffolk, on her friend's farm in Hertfordshire, or spending quality time with her bouncy Spaniel, Orla and gorgeous Labrador puppy, Walter.
